Director, Program Management

POSITION

Kronos Bio is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to support the expanding development team in San Mateo, CA. The Project Manager will work in a project team environment, interfacing with multiple functional areas such as clinical science, clinical operations, translational science, regulatory, CMC, and research.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Acts as the operational hub on the cross-functional project team and associated subteams for programs in clinical development
  • Manages multiple teams in clinical development by supporting the preparation and execution of the development plan, while aligning corporate strategy with team goals
  • Develops and maintains timelines for projects and key functional areas, ensuring that short- and long-term goals are aligned, adequate progress and milestones are met, and deviations are communicated
  • Manages and is responsible for scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, facilitating meetings that focus on clear decisions and actions, and writing timely minutes
  • Develops and maintains databases and repositories for project teams to organize documentation as programs advance through clinical development
  • Manges communication tools that provide project updates and supporting documentation to the team, functional management, and R&D leadership
  • Represents project team when informing R&D leadership or Board members of critical data, study proposals, resource requests, and changes in strategy
  • Coordinates functional area-specific and subteam activities to ensure alignment with project teams and R&D leadership

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • BS or MS in the life or physical sciences
  • 5+years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a project manager on a cross-functional team in clinical development; oncology experience is preferred
  • Must be able to support multiple project teams and subteams simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a changing environment
  • Must be well organized and have strong attention to detail
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and communicate clearly in written and verbal exchanges
  • Requires experience with Microsoft Office including MS Project, as well as familiarity with collaboration platforms (e.g. SharePoint, Smartsheet) and online conferencing systems (e.g. Zoom)
